01 Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 22, 2026
This privacy policy applies to the Wayword app for iPhone, developed by Wandering Jetstream LLC ("we," "us"). It describes what information is collected when you use the app and how it is handled.
What we collect
Wayword does not require an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or other personal information ourselves. Your decks, cards, learning progress, and settings are stored on your device.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of Wayword displays advertisements served by Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service provided by Google. Wayword is configured to serve non-personalized ads only — ads are based on general, contextual information rather than on profiling you across apps, and they do not use your device advertising identifier (IDFA) to build a profile of your interests.
To serve and measure these non-personalized ads and to protect against fraud, Google and its partners may still process limited technical information from your device, including:
— IP address and coarse (non-precise) location inferred from it
— Device and app information (such as device model, operating system version, and
app version)
— Ad interaction data (such as which ads were shown)

Tracking and your choices
Because Wayword uses non-personalized advertising, the app does not track you across other companies' apps and websites for advertising purposes, and it does not present Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Wayword presents a consent message about the data processing associated with advertising, as required by applicable law, before that processing begins.
You can remove advertising entirely — and the limited ad-related data processing described above — by purchasing the one-time Wayword Pro unlock.
In-app purchases
Wayword offers a one-time purchase ("Wayword Pro") that removes ads and unlocks additional features. Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store; we do not receive or store your payment information. Apple's handling of your information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Children
Wayword is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
